As a board certified Emergency Medicine Physician and mountain guide, I have a unique set of skills that can be applied to many complex mountain settings and situations. I have also spent considerable time and energy acquiring technical rescue skills and can operate effectively with small teams in remote environments whether for the film and event industry or for teaching and training of other professionals.

Overview of venue for 2015, 2016 in Haines, Alaska 

For the FWT event of 2015 and 2016, my responsibilities for the event included;

  • Provide on site medical care to athletes and staff during the event
  • Arrange and work with local medical resources as well as organize air-medical transportation with regional referral centers in Seattle and Anchorage
  • Work closely with event organizer to create risk management plan and implementation
  • Ability to insert via helicopter or on skis to injured participants in complex glaciated terrain to provide emergency care
  • Work intimately with helicopter long line evacuation team as well as mountain guide staff
